Did you know that by the year 2050, the population of the world will have crossed 10 billion?

This fact is something that definitely sends shivers down my spine. It also presents an unprecedented challenge that we should consider. The United Nations also estimates that 67% of the entire world is inhabitants will be living in urban areas. The social, environmental, demographic and economical challenges will definitely be tackled with the same concept, the concept being smart cities are the future. All the governments from all across the planet are in collaboration with a lot of the same cases. They are trying to make everything smart. They have a tsunami of ideas to improve the lives of all the inhabitants in most of the metropolitan cities.

I can tell you right now which city’s will be getting the Smart city name. There will be more cities that will be branded as a smart city. In my opinion, there will be new cities that are built from the ground up, and they will be called Smart cities. We can think about New York City, London, Los Angeles, San Francisco and more.

Here are some amazing ideas for a smart city.

  1. You can spark a revolution when it comes to electric transportation. Millions of people are admiring what Tesla is doing. A lot of car companies are also coming up with a lot of electric cars. Electric transportation is definitely the future. The way we get around is something that we should think about every single day. If we make it environmentally friendly, we are definitely not harming the environment. If we make use of electric cars and reduce the usage of cars that rely on fossil fuels, we are one step closer to a smart city. Smart households have become a thing, already.
  2. We should also start facilitating official paperwork with the help of mobile phones. We should stop the usage of paper and start doing everything digitally. Our phones have a lot of storage, and they can store all of our necessary documents. It is also a well-known fact that our phones have really good encryption, so we do not have to worry about the safety of our documents and paperwork.
  3. We should also control the usage of electricity. Electricity usage is at an all-time high, and if you’re not able to control it, we should come up with new and innovative ways to manufacture new electricity. I would highly suggest putting in some solar panels on our roofs. Harvesting solar energy is one of the most amazing things we can do when it comes to electricity usage.

We should give more attention to smart healthcare options.
